A bed that reads as one soft shape: headboard, rails and footboard all wrapped in a nubbly boucle, lifted off the floor on tapered wood legs so the room stays light underneath. The headboard is tall and plain, made to lean back against with a book, and the frame is solid wood with slats that strap into place, so there is no box spring to buy and nothing to creak. The mattress drops an inch inside the rail, which keeps it put and lets the bedding tuck or drape as you like. In a warm grey or an oatmeal that goes with anything.
- Fully upholstered in boucle, a looped, nubbly weave that is soft to the hand and hides everyday marks. Two colours: grey, a warm mid-grey with a faint fleck; and oatmeal, a pale greige that reads cream in daylight.
- A tall, plain headboard, 46.5 in from the floor, padded across the whole face so you can sit up against it.
- Solid wood frame with wood slats that strap to the rails on hook-and-loop, so they stay put. No box spring, no foundation, nothing extra to buy.
- The platform sits 1 in below the top of the rail: the mattress cannot slide, and a duvet can tuck under it or drape over the rail.
- Rounded corners on the frame and tapered solid wood legs that lift it off the floor.
- Takes a standard 60 × 80 in queen mattress, 8 to 14 in thick.
- Assembled, it measures 87.25 in long, 70.5 in wide and 46.5 in high, and weighs 102.75 lb.
- Arrives in two cartons of 69.25 and 43.25 lb, which may come on different days. Assembly is straightforward; the tools and a step-by-step guide are in the box.
